Neurohospitalist

Legacy Medical Group Neurology is looking for a Neurohospitalist to join our team. Vascular neurologist or experienced Neurohospitalist preferred although will consider other subspecialties for exceptional candidates.

The Legacy Medical Group Neurology Department has Neurohospitalists that provide Inpatient Neurology coverage at all six Legacy Hospitals in the PortlandVancouver metro area. Additionally the neurology outpatient team has four outpatient clinics locations with subspecialty programs in autoimmune neurology/MS epilepsy headache movement disorders and neuromuscular disease.

This fulltime Neurohospitalist position provides consult Inpatient Neurology forED or admitted patients plus night call via telemedicine. The Neurohospitalist would be based primarily at Emanuel Medical Center located in Portland OR though some shifts would be at the other sites in the system. Opportunities are available to participate in outpatient follow up stroke clinic teaching to internal medicine residents and clinical trials supported by the Legacy Research Institute. Stroke Center Medical Directorship for the right candidate.

Our hospitals also include an extensive neurosurgery program a neurocritical care unit a cardiothoracic surgery program level I trauma center and a residency program in internal medicine.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a fouryear accredited U.S. Medical School or the equivalent.
• Satisfactory completion of an accredited residency in Neurology.
• Board Certified in Neurology.
• Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the applicable state.
• BLS certification (ACLS may substitute for BLS)
• Experience with or interest in telemedicine desirable
