Job Summary
We are seeking a Resident Engineer to work on a water/wastewater project for the City of Ashland. The role will involve water intake for a water treatment plant in the area.Responsibilities & Qualifications
Responsibilities:
- Inspects daily construction activity.
- Completes daily inspection reports in the applicable format.
- Assists with creating meeting agendas and minutes; distribute and file.
- Assure documentation and accuracy of monthly progress payments.
- Assists with creating draft Contract Change Orders.
- Performs oversight of materials testing.
- Assists with resident engineering duties.
- Assists with office engineering duties.
- Communicates with residents and business owners.
- Other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- At least 10 years of experience with construction inspection and daily report writing preferred.
- Experience in the water/wastewater field is preferred but not required.
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel required.
- Must be familiar with knowledge of WisDOT procedures and protocols.
- Reliable transportation required.
- Following certifications are preferred:
- ACI Certification
- Traffic Control Coordinator (TCC)
- Osha 10 Hours
- Applicable Wis Department of Transportation Certifications
- Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
- PE preferred but not required
