Sentara Belleharbour Hospital is hiring a part time Rad Tech. This is a second shift position with 28 hours per week.
Job Description
Conducts general diagnostic radiological imaging studies of patients within scope of demonstrated competency under the direction of a qualified physician to include positioning of patient for demonstration of correct anatomy/pathology operation of radiation producing equipment operation of the electronic radiology systems preparation of patient room/equipment/medications and maintains adequate supply inventory. Explains examination and procedure to patient and completes departmental documentation.
Will consider registry eligible graduate must be registered within 180 days of hire.
Education
- ALD Radiologic Sciences or Trade school certificate
Certification/Licensure
- ARRT
- Certification or License (Preferred) this line is optional

- No specific certification or licensure requirements

The base pay rate for Full Time employment is:$28.16 $46.94Additional compensation may be available for this role such as shift differentials standby/oncall overtime premiums extra shift incentives or bonus opportunities.The Advanced Imaging Center at BelleHarbour is conveniently located on the campus of Sentara BelleHarbour in Western Tidewater. The center is home to a 3T MRI CT PET CT full digital mammography ultrasound bone densitometry PVL (vascular imaging services) noninvasive cardiac diagnostic testing and digital Xray. Physicians and patients also benefit from the expertise of our subspecialized radiologists who ensure accurate results from the high quality images. Our subspecialties include womens imaging musculoskeletal (MSK) body and neuroradiology.
