Project Manager Remediation and Waste Management

AECOM is actively seeking a Project Manager to join our growing Western Canada Environment team. The right candidate can work locally from our Edmonton AB office and AECOM can provide hybrid work options to give the flexibility you need to do your best work. This is a regular fulltime position.

We have a significant backlog of northern remediation and waste management projects are we are looking for a candidate that has a cando attitude is enthusiastic teamoriented professional with a strong project management background. The appropriately qualified candidate will have a strong understanding and experience in project management.

Responsibilities

Below are example responsibilities you can expect when working within the AECOM team to deliver all phases of projects:

• Exhibiting personal safety leadership in the oversight and of all work.
• Manage and deliver on scope and schedule including crossbusiness line staff coordination.
• Development and management of clientfacing relationships.
• Providing leadership and project manager expertise in support of ongoing AECOM remediation and waste management projects including the review of work scopes and client deliverables
• Accountability for project performance and compliance with project delivery expectations
• Demonstrating creativity foresight and mature judgment in anticipating and solving both routine and unusual project delivery and technical problems.
• Development of strategic proposals and budgets in support of work opportunities.
• Regularly communicate with regulators clients and other AECOM technical staff/project managers

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in a relevant engineering (Civil Chemical Environmental etc. or sciences discipline: Environmental Sciences etc.
• 4 years of relevant experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Strong client management skills
• Valid drivers license
• Proficient with MS Office Suite; excellent knowledge of Project Excel and Word

Preferred Qualifications

Below are examples of experience that would be an asset when working in this position:

• Registered as an engineer or geoscientist with APEGA
• 10 years of work experience 5 of those of PM experience
• 10 years of experience directly managing waste management and/or remediation projects
• Registered with Project Management Institute or registered as Project Manager Professional
• Personal Attributes
  • Highly developed written communication time management and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills; conduct yourself with integrity work within multidisciplined teams deal with complex issues and maintain effective working relationships
  • Have a high level of initiative and enthusiasm for getting things done
