Job Description

Proctor Elementary School Anticipated K6 Classroom Teacher Proctor Elementary School is seeking a collaborative and enthusiastic K6 classroom teacher to join our school community. This position opening is anticipated. The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:Knowledge of elementary researchbased best practices including the Science of ReadingKnowledge of MTSS and layered instructional practices including data collectionKnowledge of small group instructional practice using layered instructional practices Knowledge of effective literacy practices including knowledge of the OrtonGillingham approach for intermediate elementaryStudentsKnowledge of proficiency based grading practices.Knowledge of the Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards with delineation between GRCSU priority and secondary standardsEvidence of integrating technology into the learning environment beyond Supervisory Union agreed upon programmingKnowledge of best practices regarding student management protocolsKnowledge of formative and summative curricular assessments and use of data to inform instruction.Knowledge of best practices to support student social emotional needs including regulation restorative and proactive approaches.Evidence of strong connection with students and families.Strong communication skills as evidenced through a quality application.Licensed or eligible for Vermont Educators License
