Job Description

About the opportunity:

Are you ready to fasttrack your career N26 is looking for a Credit Risk Manager Treasury to further develop the credit risk function at a cuttingedge technologydriven bank establishing credit analysis risk management and control tools developing credit processes based on state of the art technology as well as latest regulations in cooperation with leading business and tech experts and taking a key role in N26s Credit Office.

In this role you will:

  • Further develop N26s credit risk functions for our treasury business within the credit risk department in order to accommodate N26s investment goals and risk leadership aspirations
  • Perform credit risk assessments and contribute to risk monitoring processes for structured products ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
  • Support the Treasury Credit Risk team in assessing monitoring and reporting on Treasury portfolio exposures with a focus on structured products i.e. ABS (RMBS ABCP) Repo Reverse Repo and securitized lending
  • Contribute to development of the governance and process framework of structured lending in accordant policies and procedures in compliance with relevant laws and regulations (e.g. KWG MaRisk EBA Guidelines) and applicable best practices
  • Contribute to data process improvement initiatives identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency gains in risk reporting and data management
  • Contribute to credit risk departments enabler role for N26 by helping to develop cuttingedge credit solutions for our treasury business operationally preparing credit/investment decisions and executing credit controls
  • Support further development of stateoftheart credit analysis methods processes and controls along the entire lifecycle (credit decision credit monitoring and early warning intensified and problem loan management) tailored to N26s asset classes and operating model
  • Support further development of treasury strategy governance methodology and process frameworks in compliance with relevant law and regulation (e.g. KWG MaRisk EBA Guidelines) and applicable best practices
  • Partner with Group Treasury Capital Markets and Corporate Finance Risk Controlling Accounting Regulatory Reporting and Tech departments to implement credit requirements help ensuring transparency and compliance with applicable credit law and regulations and contribute to establishing a risk culture in the organization

What you need to be successful:

Background

  • Bachelors degree in finance economics or comparable field; additional qualification (e.g. Masters degree in relevant field passed CFA exams) is a strong plus
  • 5 years experience in credit risk management treasury operations or risk data management ideally with exposure to structured products; previous experience in a FinTech is a plus

Skills

  • Profound experience in credit risk assessment and monitoring for riskrelevant credit business (e.g. sovereigns financial institutions structured transactions)
  • Ability to assess collateral creditworthiness of counterparties (ratings financials sensitivity to market conditions) in Treasury credit exposures
  • Understanding of credit business across the entire value chain (e.g. credit decisioning monitoring and early warning) and accordant processes and controls
  • Knowledge of ABS (RMBS ABCP) Repo Reverse Repo securitized lending and other structured products with an understanding of securitization structures and risk metrics is a strong plus
  • Experience in project delivery on introducing new regulatory requirements complex credit process changes and/or credit process digitization
  • Handson knowledge of credit risk regulation (e.g. KWG MaRisk EBA Guidelines Basel) its implementation in credit processes and interaction with internal/external auditors
  • Experience working with risk data governance and data quality management processes is a strong plus
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills and ability to independently generate insights
  • Familiarity with basic SQL commands and a willingness to further develop SQL skills. Python knowledge and proficiency in Bloomberg is a plus
  • Fluent English (German is a plus).
