Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must pass a state or local assessment of basic skills or has completed two years of college or has an A.A. degree.
- One to two years of experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
- Ability to type and use computer a plus.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with students teachers parents and staff.
- Able to obtain or possess an Arizona DPS IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
Reports to: Teacher to whom assigned
Job Goal: To assist the teacher in providing a wellorganized and effective classroom environment where the student may take full advantage of the instructional program.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Develops daily lesson plans and activities under the direction of a teacher.
- Works with(1)student under the direction of the teacher.
- Prepares and uses a variety of instructional materials under the supervision of the teacher such as worksheets practice exercises games and instructional aids.
- Assists teacher with recordkeeping tasks such as attendance grading etc.
- Monitors the students activities such as test taking cafeteria playground field trips etc.
- Types materials as necessary uses copy machine and uses computer to effectively assist teacher.
- Participates in inservice training as required.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Terms of Employment: 9 months. Salary established by the Governing Board. Employee benefits in accordance with district policies.
