Job Description
Space Systems Integration (SSI) is a fastgrowing engineering company that provides aerospace solutions to a variety of government and commercial customers. Our employees are forwardthinking selfdirected individuals who are committed to solving our customers technical challenges.
SSI is seeking a Ground Integration Lead (PWSA) to support our customer in Chantilly VA.
Responsibilities include:
Ensure ground segment designs and implementation meet system requirements.
Ensure ground segment designs and deliverables are tested against planned testing procedures.
Evaluate and participate in integration testing across levels of the ground segment.
Support the SDAs Ground Segment Program Management and Tranchespecific Systems Engineering teams.
May serve as the Ground Capability Test Team (CTT) Lead with/to the SDAs test enterprise.
Review engineering documents and provide SME support.
Participate in milestones to include but not limited to: System Requirements Review Preliminary Design Review and Critical Design Review activities and provide subject matter expertise.
Provide technical advice/input to customers leadership that lays the strategic foundation for critical national capability and customers future initiatives.
Work with the development team to clarify requirements provide feedback on code quality and ensure defects identification and resolution occurs on time.
Work with development team engineers to support integration of both software and hardwareintheloop development test and operational environments.
Evaluate software performance and assess its compatibility with new mission and CONOPS.
Participate in anomaly resolution activities.
Contribute to the development of systems and missionlevel modeling and simulation tools.
Contribute to the of modeling and simulation activities.
Collaborate with other teams by actively participating in crossfunctional communication to ensure that all teams integrate system requirements throughout program lifecycles.
Resolve highly complex and multidimensional problems requiring consideration of variables that impact multiple aspects of the project/program.
Assess ground segment impacts of new hardware software CONOPS and missions.
Support requirements management and analysis interface management architecture development and test and evaluation processes.
Incorporate Joint Warfighter Mission Partners and internal SDA teams feedback on product strategy and identify the best path to improve efficiencies.
Collect and analyze feedback from endusers stakeholders and other teams to shape integration processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in STEM or related discipline.
- Minimum of 8 years experience in and technical and analytic understanding of space and/or ground segment integration testing and evaluation.
- Agile framework familiarity.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
- Organizational and leadership abilities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Problemsolving aptitude.
- Creative thinking skills.
- TS/SCI clearance required (ability to obtain/maintain).
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters degree in STEM or related discipline.
- 12 years experience and specific expertise in space and/or ground segment integration testing and evaluation.
- Agile framework experience including the use of Jira/Confluence.
- Experience with DoD and/or IC customers.
- Recent experience with space and/or ground systems.
