Health Center Manager May 22 August 11 (flexible scheduling available): supervises and coordinates the health and safety of the campers and staff. The Camp Health Manager supports the administration of a complete health and safety program for campers and staff ensuring ongoing camp health care. Salary starts at $685 per week salary increase available for Registered Nurses.

Health Center Assistant May 28 August 11 (flexible scheduling available): Work with Camp Health Care Team to collect review and maintain Health History and Medication forms for campers and staff; perform health checks on all incoming campers and staff; assist with daily health center tasks. Salary starts at $555 per week.

  • Excellent with children ages 517 and equally skilled at working with adults of all ages

  • Prepared to live onsite during employment in rustic cabin accommodations (limited electricity and internet)
  • Arent bothered by dirt bugs or sunscreen
  • Looking for a summer job
  • Experience with children and young adults
  • Preferable RN licensed in Maryland/Virginia or a Compact State; Nursing/ Medical Student EMT or Paramedic licensed in Maryland/Virginia is acceptable
  • Currently certified in First Aid and Adult Child CPR
  • Professional sensitive individual with sound judgment quick action and good management of people in an emergency

About Camp Potomac Woods

Camp Potomac Woods located on the Potomac River in Loudoun County Virginia provides the perfect getaway for Girl Scouts in grades K11. Located 50 miles northwest or 1 hour outside of Washington DC Potomac Woods is within driving distance of several major cities including Richmond Baltimore and Philadelphia. Potomac Woods is owned and operated by Girl Scouts Nations Capital the largest Girl Scout council in the United States of America.

Potomac Woods offers a variety of specialty theme overnight programs that range from two nights to five nights in a fun safe rustic and traditional camp setting. The property spans 101 acres of hilly woodland with lots of trees. Full of creativity and imagination all programs provide campers the opportunity to explore the outdoors while having the time of their lives!

Campers enjoy swimming at the pool getting creative at arts & crafts trying outdoor cooking learning about STEM and taking aim at target sports like archery slingshots knife and tomahawk (axe) throwing! Campers participate in many wonderful Camp Potomac Woods traditions including campfires singing and hikes to explore the Pooh Tree or RiverWalk.
