We offer the worlds finest coffee and equipment to over 150000 customers online and in our Cafs driven by our goal to make highend coffee experiences enjoyable and accessible to all. We foster direct trade relationships with coffee farmers worldwide pay high prices for the coffee beans and ensure everyone involved in the value chain gets treated fairly and respectfully. For every kilogram of coffee we sell we invest 1 through our Coffee Circle Foundation e.V. to help support sustainable improvements in coffeegrowing areas such as providing clean drinking water hygiene training and coffee labs. With over 4 million euros raised in donations we cannot wait to increase our positive impact with you on our team one cup of coffee at a time.
Your role:
Your ultimate goal together with our other Caf Supervisors is to ensure that all Cafs run smoothly. You will be mainly responsible for only one of our Cafs though the location assigned to you may change.
- Be responsible for the ordering process making sure that whats needed to operate the Cafs is in stock available and correctly organized
- Execute the shift planning (twice a month) as well as approving holidays and finding solutions in case of staff absences
- Onboard new staff members following them especially during their first two weeks in the company in order for them to quickly learn how to successfully fulfill the tasks assigned
- Supervise the Cafs and our Baristas by making sure that the required tasks are completed according to standards
- Be the main point of contact for questions and act as a role model for all baristas by keeping high standards when it comes to customer service coffee quality cleanliness etc.
- Have 1o1s with the staff to collect and give feedback on their performance
- Trial Barista candidates and provide feedback to HR in regards to the performance of each person
- Regularly perform 23 shifts a week 75h each shift) on bar and cover for your team members absences when needed
- Report to our Retail Operations Manager and work closely to the other Caf Supervisor to make sure that the rotation system between the both of you works successfully
Your profile:
- 2 years experience as Barista with solid specialty coffee and customer service standards and knowledge
- Availability to work 40h a week on 5 days across the different Cafs as you wont be assigned to a main one
- Previous leadership experience is a big plus
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize
- Outstanding communication skills by being able to channel issues solve conflicts and provide guidance to team members
- Empathetic approach and strong teamwork skills. We look for a Supervisor who is able to gain the teams trust by communicating with honesty and kindness
- Punctuality reliability and proactive approach
- Affinity to technology and basic knowledge of the Microsoft Office/GSuite Package
- Valid work permit and Rote Karte
- At least A2 level in German and fluency in English
- One year contract fixed salary corresponding to 40 weekly working hours. For operational needs you may cover extra shifts which will be compensated on top of your fixed salary
- 25 days of holidays per year based on five dayswork week
