Job Description
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in computer science information systems computer engineering electrical engineering system analysis or related field of study or equivalent experience
- 5 years of experience in Cybersecurity operational roles
- 2 years of experience in Managing SOC Analysts
- 2 years of handson technical Cybersecurity experience across multiple domains of Cybersecurity
- 2 years of experience with security operations within public cloud environments
- 2 years of experience with security operations within large corporate onprem environments including colocated data centers
Preferred Qualifications:
- Cybersecurity certification/accreditation including ECIH GCIH CCSP CISSP or other SANS certifications
- Experience leading and managing Cyber Security teams in medium to large sized enterprises
- Demonstrated understanding of security controls frameworks
- Experience monitoring servers workstations and other devices such as network and hostbased intrusion detection systems web application firewalls database security monitoring systems firewalls/routers/switches proxy servers antivirus systems file integrity monitoring tools and operating system logs.
- Proven written verbal communication and presentation skills; ability to communicate effectively and clearly to both technical and nontechnical staff
- Established interpersonal skills including teamwork facilitation and negotiation

Agile Methodologies: Knowledge of concept and principles of agile methodology; ability to apply appropriate agile approaches in the processes of software development and delivery.
Coaching Others: Knowledge of coaching and mentoring concepts and methods; ability to encourage motivate and guide individuals in learning and improving effectiveness.
Information Security Management: Knowledge of the processes tools and techniques of information security management; ability to deploy and monitor information security systems while detecting controlling and preventing violations of IT security.
IT Governance: Knowledge of the accountability framework and processes used to encourage proper behavior in IT activities and operations; ability to implement IT systems and controls to meet business needs and requirements.
Results Orientation: Knowledge of the importance of meeting or exceeding established targets; ability to drive critical activities to completion.

Lead with Vision and Precision in Cybersecurity! Join our dynamic team as a leader who inspires and drives excellence in cybersecurity investigations. Your role will blend managerial expertise with handson technical skills steering highpriority projects that fortify our digital defenses and enhance our teams agility and effectiveness.
Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
- Lead and Manage High Priority investigations with the Equitable Security Operations Center Detection team
- Primarily responsible for ensuring that security events and alerts are triaged and responded to with a high degree of efficiency accuracy and professionalism to include contribution of analysis
- Ensuring Compliance to SLA process adherence and process development to achieve operational objectives
- Developing and Facilitating assessment and training programs for SOC Analysts
- Coordinating detection activities during cyber events
- Provide direction technical support and leadership to SOC Analysts
- Providing guidance and direction concerning preparations necessary to aid in the prevention and early detection of cyber events and monitoring and responding to cyberattacks
- Facilitate development approvals and annual reviews of SOC triage playbooks and provide guidance and feedback
- Coordinating Red Team/Blue Team Wargames and other cybersecurity exercises
- SOC Reporting and Metrics
- Leading small to medium size Cybersecurity projects
In Office Schedule: This team member will work in the office two days per week.
The base salary range for this position is $125000$140000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills experience and geographical location. In addition to base pay Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases spot bonuses and shortterm incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.
