- Maintain an efficient and professional banquet bar area andprovidequality service
- Work the banquet bar bygreeting and preparing drinks forguests throughout the function
- Accurately recordand account for bar inventory sold
- Overseesetup breakdowncleanup and storage of banquet bars and inventories
- Verifysupplies and products are properly handled and stored
- Attend and participate in banquet preshift and periodic banquet staff meetings
- Other duties as required
Requirements
- Must be an excellent team player
- Attendance is essential to the successful performance of this position
- May be required to work varying schedules
- Professionally represent the hotel and property when interacting with guests from the community and industry organizations
- Proper uniform and maintaining a neat clean and wellgroomed appearance per policy is required
- Attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required
Qualifications:
The individual must possess the job knowledge skills and abilities as well as be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job. This being with or without reasonable accommodation using a combination of knowledge skills and abilities.
Specific job knowledge skills and abilities:
- Ability to read speak and write basic English in order to communicate with customers and other employees
- Ability to exercise good judgment
- Possess multitasking skills
- Knowledge of food and beverage menus food preparation and presentation
- Ability to follow detailed instructions with minimal supervision at times
- Ability to communicate customer needs and resolve complaints independently
- Possess good interpersonal and sales related experience
- Possess basic computer skills to be able to use POS system or cash register system
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand sit walk climb bend crouch/stoop twist and reach for extended periods of time. Especially standing for long periods of time
- Have moderate to high level of energy and physical stamina
- Exert wellpaced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously
- Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature is moderate and controlled by restaurant / hotel environmental systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. intermittently during workday
