Job Description
As a Sr. Mechanical Product Development Engineer you will lead the development team in the successful of innovative products transforming ideas into reality. You will apply engineering principles theories and tools to lead the team in the design development and testing of new products and enhancement to existing ones. You will provide technical guidance and support to the engineering design team and other professionals to identify appropriate materials and processes to ensure the quality performance reliability and manufacturability of products.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conceptualize the design of new products including components and electromechanical systems.
- Review and analyze models and drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Develop specifications and implement designs to meet product requirements.
- Coordinate the manufacturing process for designed products.
- Interact with suppliers to source materials and components.
- Design experiments research and track prototype performance and reactions.
- Integrate modern technologies and methodologies into product designs.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Energetic and results driven.
- Ability to design robust and innovative solutions.
- Ability to work well as part of a highperformance team.
- Wide product lifecycle perspective leveraging Design for Manufacture/Assembly/Installation/Maintenance.
- Expertise in machine design using SolidWorks stress analysis evaluation and selection of components material selection and specification and design and load analysis.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related field.
- 6 years of product development experience preferably in material handling equipment or industrial machinery.
- Experience leading at least one team through the endtoend development and deployment of a product.
