General Information:
The Office of Admissions seeks a Graduate Assistant for the Spring 2025 semester to provide interactive support to the Office of Admission and the admissions process; assist with the of the duties and responsibilities of the Office of Admission assist with the of various oncampus events as well as contributing to other departmental projects under the direction and supervision of the Office of Admission staff. The assistantship dates are from January 21 2025 to May 9 2025. These Graduate Assistantships provide 9 hours of tuition support for the semester and the stipend of $4908 for the semester.
Duties and Responsibilities:
All duties and responsibilities will be explained in more detail during interview process. Below is a list of some basic responsibilities.
Assist with admissions recruitment data analysis and outreach to prospective and accepted students;
Assist with OnCampus Admissions Events and programs for prospective and admitted students;
Assist with undergraduate freshman admissions process which may include freshman application review and travel related to high school visits;
Provide superior customer service via phone written and email contact as well as personal interactions with students parents and alumni;
General office and other duties as may be assigned;
Work an average of 20 hours per week (some weekend or nights will be required)
Qualifications:
An interest in working with prospective students and families.
Attention to detail and great communication skills in a professional environment.
Schedule availability to work 20 hours per week between the hours of 8am and 5pm Monday to Friday.
Some weekend and evening hours will be required.

Students may apply to a graduate assistantship prior to being accepted into a graduate program. However to be eligible to receive an assistantship upon entry into a graduate program the following criteria must be met:
The student must be conditionally or unconditionally accepted into a graduate program. Students who are provisionally accepted will not be eligible until they achieve conditional or unconditional acceptance into their program.
The students must have an official transcript on file indicating completion of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution or agency
After receiving an assistantship the student must maintain at least a 3.0 graduate GPA in order to retain or reapply for the assistantship.
These are minimum criteria. Graduate program coordinators have the right to impose additional criteria if they see fit.
