Job Description

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
  • Must possess a valid drivers license.
  • Has knowledge in all of the trades including electrical HVAC plumbing carpentry grounds maintenance etc.
  • Able to operate a variety of machines including a backhoe.
  • Ability to perform physically strenuous tasks including being able to lift at least 50 pounds.
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring walking stooping squatting and climbing. Must also be able to work from scaffolding.
  • Ability to read and interpret written work assignments.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with coworkers and staff.
  • Able to obtain or possess an Arizona DPS IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

Reports to: Director of Maintenance and Transportation

Job Goal: To use skills and knowledge to maintain the districts facilities in a safe and fully operational condition.

Performance Responsibilities:

  • Performs repair construction alteration and other maintenance functions.
  • Performs preventative maintenance to district facilities and equipment according to established schedules.
  • Completes work in plumbing electrical HVAC and welding as assigned.
  • May assist in maintenance of school grounds as necessary.
  • Operates heavy equipment as necessary.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Terms of Employment: 12 months. Salary established by the Governing Board. Employee benefits in accordance with district policies.
