Scion is seeking a skilled Staff Attorney to join us in executing our vision. This position will focus on assisting with developing articulating and implementing legal and company policy at the corporate level.
The Staff Attorney will use their legal expertise and creative problemsolving skills to support the legal team and property management staff with daytoday operations. This role demands strong organization and prioritization analytical mindset attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Draft negotiate and review a variety of commercial contracts.
- Draft and revise housing agreements leases and other relevant real estate documents.
- Assist and advise Paralegals in the preparation of contracts and external communications.
- Respond to escalated resident complaintsattorneys and agencies with respect to issues arising under State and Federal Fair Housing laws rules and regulations.
- Respond to vendor and resident disputes.
- Coordinate with outside counsel on litigation matters.
- Coordinate with inside and outside counsel on entity and asset acquisitions.
- Perform legal due diligence analysis with respect to potential acquisitions and provides guidance.

Qualifications
- Law degree from an accredited university or law school admission to the bar of at least one US State and 25 years of professional work experience preferably within Multifamily housing.
- Fair Housing law experience is strongly preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Property Management Systems.

The base salary range for this fulltime position is $90000$130000 bonus benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role level and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors including jobrelated skills experience and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
