Job Summary

This Java Developer role with strengths in developing MarkLogic based applications provides Agile DevOps support to missioncritical systems. You will have the opportunity to build and maintain systems software and cloud environments while providing operations and maintenance for critical systems. In this role you will also design develop and implement applications utilizing MarkLogic databases with business logic written in XQuery. Additionally based on a DevOps framework you will participate in and/or direct major deliverables of projects through all aspects of the software development lifecycle including scope and work estimation architecture and design coding and unit testing.

Job Responsibilities

• Design and develop solutions integrating MarkLogic with existing enterprise platforms and systems.

• Develop XQuery JavaScript and REST modules on the MarkLogic technology stack.

• Develop Entity models and participate in software programming initiatives using HTML CSS JavaScript Java Angular Python SpringBoot and Hibernate.

• Develop and direct software system validation and testing methods using Junit and Katalon.

• Develop and integrate custom software solutions leveraging automated deployment technologies; while supporting the Agile software development lifecycle following Program SAFe practices.

• Analyze (though proof of concept performance and endtoend testing) and effectively coordinate Infrastructure needs driven by developed software to meet customer mission needs.

Basic Qualifications

• 4 years of handson application development utilizing the MarkLogic framework.

• Strong analytical and design skills with the ability to translate business requirements into efficient and effective technical designs within largescale wellstructured enterprise environments.

• Significant experience in the development of serviceoriented architecture applications.

• Good understanding of ObjectOriented Design and Design Patterns.

• Significant experience implementing the MarkLogic javaclientapi within an enterprise application.

• Strong knowledge of XQuery FLWOR queries JavaScript MarkLogic SPARQL RDF data XML Data triplestores XML Processing

• Significant experience with Java and data processing manipulation or querying (SQL and NoSQL) (MarkLogic is a NoSQL DB so we need the and or we need to remove the SQL from this description)

• Bachelors with 8 years of relevant experience or a Masters with 6 or more years of relevant experience. Will consider work experience in lieu of a degree.

• TS/SCI with a polygraph is required for consideration.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing in or deploying to AWS.
