Senior Accountant

Our fantastic notforprofit client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their dynamic team. In this role you will play a crucial part in maintaining financial integrity ensuring compliance and supporting key initiatives that drive the organizations mission forward. Youll work closely with leadership to manage complex accounting tasks oversee reconciliations and enhance system efficiencies. This roles is based in Buffalo NY offering a competitive salary of $70000 to $75000/year along with excellent benefits.
This is a hybrid role based in Buffalo NY after probationary period.
Responsibilities:
- Reconcile external grants and track personnel efforts to ensure compliance with funding requirements.
- Perform project accounting and maintain related financial entries.
- Oversee and review financial processes including check logs and gift uploads.
- Conduct Stripe reconciliations and manage deposit allocations.
- Support audit preparations and other compliance activities.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold the highest standards of accuracy and professionalism.
- Assist with other financerelated tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
- 3 years of progressive accounting experience including grant and reconciliation work.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software systems.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- Excellent analytical problemsolving and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
