Great Basin College is hiring for two fulltime 9month nursing faculty positions; one tenuretrack and one nontenure track.

Qualifications:
Education:
Masters in Nursing (MSN) OR a BSN with enrollment in an MSN program within one year of hire.
Degrees must be from an ACEN or CCNEaccredited program.
Experience & Licensure:
Minimum 3 years of RN experience (preferably in medical/surgical acute care or community health).
Eligible for Nevada RN licensure (licensure required upon hire).
Prior teaching experience is a plus but not required.
Skills & Attributes:
Passion for teaching and mentoring nursing students.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to oversee students in clinical settings.
Experience with distance learning and online instruction is desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach courses in the AAS Nursing and RNBSN programs (lecture online and clinical).
Provide handson instruction in simulation labs and clinical environments.
Evaluate student performance and ensure achievement of learning outcomes.
Participate in curriculum development accreditation activities and student advisement.
Contribute to the nursing department and college committees.
Support the CNA program as needed.
Travel
The position may require driving to other GBC campuses with or without reasonable accommodation as per the Americans with Disabilities Act with possible overnight stays to coordinate students and programs throughout the service area. There must be a commitment to the GBC mission to serve rural Nevada. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in several statewide or national meetings each year that require overnight travel.
Compensation Grade
Academic Faculty 3
B Contract 9 month (end of August to mid May) working contract paid over 12 months.
The budgeted salary range for this position is $65000 $90000
Salary is based on relatable education and experience internal equity and budgets.

Great Basin College is proud to provide a reducedrate tuition benefit to faculty and qualified dependents. Faculty can take up to six credits per semester at a reduced rate. Dependents of faculty have unlimited credits but in order to be eligible children must be unmarried and under the age of 24 and must receive at least 50 of their financial support from the employee and/or employees spouse or domestic partner.

If you are usingeducation completed in foreign colleges or universitiesto meet qualification requirements you must show that your education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
