We are looking for a Learning Plan Specialist in our Training Center in Ambergate.
Operational Responsibilities
Lead the Learning & Development training support service for Gas Transmission and Metering and external customers with an emphasis on excellent customer service.
Provide support to the business in accessing training and the delegate management processes.
Review resource constraints and opportunities ensure productivity and performance is maximised and work with internal and external training providers to optimise training delivery plans across Gas Transmission and Metering.
Lead on managed service providers delivery management and help resolve any escalations.
Manage stakeholders and ensure expectation and requirements are being met.
Triage responsibility for all training demand not aligned with the Learning & Development catalogue.
Provide support for the wider Learning & Development team with continuous process improvement and ongoing General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) actions.
Process service level agreement (SLA) tracking of all training.
Take a lead with the business on formulating and costing the Annual Learning Plans (ALP).
Responsible for the Learning & Development Planning & Support team and managing team performance through the Delivering Performance process.
Lead a high performing team through the Delivering Performance process.
Quality Control:
System support Learning & Development LMS. Responsible for the highest levels of data accuracy and the provision of training compliance management information.
Keep updated on new policies procedures and codes of practice to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the business. Act as escalation route for Business/Delegate enquiries
Communication:
Develop strong working relationships with all departments involved in the Learning & Development process.
Communicate effectively with all levels of staff in the Lines of Business internally in HR Finance and Procurement and other functions and externally with the Managed Service Provider. Actively demonstrate and promote Gas Transmission and Metering values.
Continuous Improvement:
Develop and manage Learning & Development Planning & Support team succession plan. Identify and implement process improvements/best practice.
Support the design and innovation of new Learning & Development systems and processes.
Work within and promote the philosophy of safe team working and development across all Gas Transmission and Metering activities to achieve business objectives and continuously improve performance.
Experience in leading a high performing team.
Experience in systems / process design and implementation.
Good analytical skills with an ability to quickly analyse information and make decisions.
An understanding of Learning & Development activities undertaken across the Gas Transmission and Metering business and the value they drive.
The post holder will set high standards for all aspects of the role ensuring effective workload management whilst ensuring attention to detail.
Excellent communication and skills at all levels and ability to develop effective working relationships both with internal and external Customers/Stakeholders.
Demonstrate ability to work well under pressure to meet critical deadlines.
Experience in supporting the creation of new and reviewing existing processes and implementing changes across a department.
Competent in providing guidance and instruction to others as required.
Wide business/technical knowledge gained through experience.
Gas Transmission (GT) owns manages and operates the National Transmission System (NTS) in Great Britain making gas available when and where its needed.
We ensure that our network is safe reliable and available and that it delivers value for our customers and stakeholders while minimising impact on the environment.
Metering is the largest asset manager of industrial commercial and residential gas meters in GB providing metering and meter reading services on behalf of GT.
We deliver high quality value for money services managing rental contracts and relationships with customers and gas suppliers and undertaking a range of activities to maintain our metering portfolio.
