Job Description
The Economics Department at the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University seeks a parttime faculty to teach ECN 302 Intermediate Macroeconomics to undergraduate majors through SU Continuing Education during Summer Session II. This position is anticipated to be filled on a fully remote basis. Not all geographical areas within the United States are eligible. Employment offers at Syracuse University are based on a combination of factors including but not limited to the job responsibilities; the candidates education training work experience and key competencies; the universitys strategic priorities; internal peer equity; applicable federal state local laws grant funding and contractual requisites; and external market analyses.
Responsibilities
Duties include: Developing and/or updating class syllabus Ordering the appropriate books and materials in advance of the start of class date Preparation of lectures projects or other student assignments Maintain regularly scheduled office hours Presenting instruction based on the competencies and performance levels of the course Meeting all designated class periods Submitting completed midsemester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations Grading student assignments and exams in a timely manner
Qualifications
Minimum of M.A in Economics with excellent teaching experience of economic courses at the undergraduate level and strong class evaluations.
