SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
The Sr. Event Sales Manager is responsible for effectively selling and servicing events within the hotels venues. This role emphasizes selling Banquet Food and Beverage menu planning and ensuring high service levels through effective communication with hotel staff. The ideal candidate will possess strong sales skills creativity and a passion for customer service thriving in a fastpaced environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES:

Displays honesty & integrity.
Participates in hotel restaurant sales & marketing meetings/events.
Is an inspirational leader able to motivate team members to be consistently engaged in serving others always looking for that opportunity.
You build strong partnerships with internal customers and outside vendors
Drive revenue by booking and managing events including weddings and corporate conferences receptions and meetings.
Meet assigned Banquet Revenue Target for the sales area through new business accounts while maintaining current customer sales.
Sell Banquet Food and Beverage and manage menu planning and agenda setting.
Review contracts and facilitate communication before during and after events with hotel staff.
Contribute to site inspections and maintain strong customer relationships.
Work collaboratively with sales and catering staff to ensure successful events.
Occasionally manage SMERF group rooms in conjunction with banquet/event contracts.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
You possess excellent communication and leadership skills and are a strong creative problem solver both with Team members and thirdparty partners operating within the hotel
Pointofcontact for all event details
Oversee the collective coordination of all event information and resources and are responsible for account management sales prospecting and business development.
You are a proactive selfstarter who can work well both independently and as part of a team
You love to negotiate and create winwin situations for customers owners partners and all operational team members alike
Daily Coordination with F&B Managers to ensure a seamless thoughtful and excellent level of service.
Prepare proposals for clients and maintain wellorganized event records.
Responsible to build and maintain working relationships with internal and external partners and leverage these relationships to deliver innovative and memorable events.
Identifying event logistics and negotiating contracts.
Responsible for coordinating and executing weekly BEO meetings with all departments to ensure consistent communication and operations of events.
Coordinate event logistics proactively communicate event information and set clear expectations for event delivery.
You are confident work well under pressure are able to manage multiple activities simultaneously and reprioritize efforts when plans change or the need arises.
Prepare detailed event reports including sales data worksheets cost projections and other financial metrics. They analyze and reconcile disparate event details and consolidate the information into actionable event plans.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
Working knowledge of banquet department (sets AV equipment scheduling menu planning).
Strong working knowledge of the hotels sales/event CRM system such as Delphi Social Tables Cvent Meeting Broker and Opera.
Highenergy and possess excellent customer service and sales skills are especially effective in this position.
Three to five years of experience in organizing and managing events including corporate meetings trainings luncheons weddings and other special occasions.
Previous hotel venue experience an asset
