Job Description
Shop Foreman
TranSource Truck & Equipment Inc. is a growing company representing Volvo Construction Equipment along with being the Servicing Dealer for multiple other product lines that support the Construction and Agriculture Industry.
We are currently looking for a Shop Foreman in our Rapid City location. Must have 5 years experience shop experience and/or equivalent plus management experience.
The Service Foreman ensures that qualified diesel mechanics perform repairs correctly and efficiently and that the service department maintains a consistently high level of satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Assist mechanics in developing their skills with your support;
- Schedule repair work and assign technician(s) to mechanical segments that match their skill level to ensure quality;
- Ensure that all repairs are assigned to mechanics in an equal and fair manner;
- Provide technical support for mechanics when necessary;
- Check progress of each repair order throughout the day;
- Maintain highquality repairs and minimizes comebacks. Conduct periodic spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness and quality;
- Road test vehicles to qualitycheck work performed;
- Monitor mechanics daily productivity reports
- Diesel Mechanic experience required and/ or a two year technical degree;
- Works closely with Service Manager and Service Advisors;
- Supervisor/Management/Foreman experience is required
