Assembler
Rate: $2021/hr
Hours: 7am4pm
Cincinnati OH

Responsibilities:
Gather parts from stock that weigh from ounces to 400lbs each and handsize to several cubic feet.
Some bench work but most parts are built on the floor.
Some parts must be ground to balance cut to size on bandsaws formed by hand to fit holes drilled and tapped by hand or drill press and so on.
Assemblies require press and registered fits between parts and some knowledge of clearances and fit requirements and able to read and confirm dimensions with dial calipers or micrometers.
There is also some welding required.
Grind to balance impellers.
Check and straighten shafts.
Press bearings and bushings into housings.
Set clearances.
Sitdown forklift operation required (will train and certify).
Requirements:
Basic knowledge of hand pneumatic and electric tools; drill sizes; and taps.
Basic understanding of rotating equipment clearances alignment and fit of supporting systems.
Familiarity with measuring devices such as scales tape measures dial calipers and micrometers are a plus.
Attentive to detail to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards.
Mechanically inclined.
Proficient with handson work in standing and groundwork positions.
Welding experience preferred but not required.
Requires someone who is physically agile to work in a multitude of positions and manually handle parts up to around 50lbs during assembly.
