Job Description

Pearl Abyss America Inc. the team behind Black Desert and the upcoming titles DokeV and Crimson Desert is seeking a highperforming creative resultsoriented and qualityobsessed LiveServices Game Master to help accelerate our gaming reach to millions of customers across all platforms (PC and Console) in North America.

The video games industry is transforming how players are entertained communicating with each other and interacting online and on their digital devices. Our company needs a LiveServices Game Master who loves video games and has an entrepreneurial spirit with relentless tenacity to get things done. The highest priority for this role is to continuously monitor the game liveservice to collect ingame issues and players feedback and to engage players by designing and executing ingame GM events and livestreaming events. Our LiveServices Game Master will be actively interacting with the players both in game and in the communities including various social channels working closely with the community managers.

You genuinely love video games the game players their communities and their passion for games and facilitate to help them improve the game liveservice quality. You will actively interact with the players both in the game and in the community working closely with other team members in the live operations.

LOCATION: Manhattan Beach CA (Onsite)

JOB TYPE: Full Time

PAY RANGE: $21 $25 per hour

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Handle daytoday tasks for the games liveservice through the internal operation tool.
  • Assist with the regular server maintenance work and the content updates
  • Monitor and regularly report on the liveservice issues and the players feedback
  • Respond to live game issues that occur in the game and write up appropriate notices when necessary
  • Assist in creating weekly/monthly ingame events plan and executing them during the liveservice
  • Work closely with other liveops specialists Customer Support team and Community Managers to solicit feedback and suggestions for game improvement from the community
  • Stay uptodate on the latest game updates to be able to support the player base properly.
  • Perform investigation and documentation on the game exploits bugs and other serious technical issues in the game.
  • Review customer support ticket answers and further investigate reported issues and take actions when necessary

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2 years of work experience in the video game industry especially in the liveservice customer support QA community management or related field
  • Extensive knowledge and gameplay experience of MMORPG genre in the Console platform
  • Prior experience/interactions with the gaming communities forum or user groups on social channels
  • Experience in social content creation and posting publishing calendars asset creation copywriting reporting & analytics
  • Strong customer service ethic and great interpersonal communication skills
  • Writing skills for the announcements or forum notices with a great sense of humor
  • Ability to act fast on problems or communications and deliver the best results amid a fastpaced highvolume environment
  • Creativity curiosity and a willingness to learn and grow
  • Professional and mature demeanor along with strong timemanagement and organization skills for coordinating multiple initiatives and priorities
  • *International travel may be required for this position

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Avid Black Desert Online player
  • Experience in social media management (Facebook X Instagram TikTok etc.
  • Bilingual in English/Korean or English/Japanese is a plus
