We are looking for a dedicated and detailoriented Chartered Professional Accountant to join our client in St. Johns Newfoundland. Key Responsibilities for the Job:
- Plan execute and manage audit and assurance engagements for a diverse client base
- Prepare and review financial statements in compliance
- Conduct risk assessments and develop audit strategies based on client needs
- Perform substantive testing and analytical procedures to assess financial accuracy and compliance
- Identify and communicate audit findings risks and recommendations to clients and senior management
- Ensure compliance with professional standards regulations and firm policies
- Support clients in understanding and implementing accounting standards and best practices
- Collaborate with team members to mentor junior staff and contribute to knowledge sharing
- Assist with tax compliance and reporting during the busy season
Experience & Attributes for Success:
- Designated Chartered Professional Accountant or currently in progressive
- Minimum of 3 years of public accounting experience
- Proficiency in CaseWare Jazzit and other accounting software
- Trust worthy ethical and reliable work ethic
- Efficient and effective time management skills to meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills and ability to develop professional relationships
- Adaptable and flexible with a positive and personable demeanour
