Responsibilities
M&J Engineering is seeking qualified Field Technicians to perform materials inspection and testing at construction sites throughout the Hudson Valley and Central New York. This position is a field related position with respect to municipal and private construction projects. Field Technicians will perform specified tests and inspections at construction sites including soil and asphalt compaction testing concrete testing and sampling and similar activities as needed. M&J will provide training and certification for all testing and inspection activities. Responsibilities include travelling to one or more job sites performing specific tests or inspections as directed collecting and delivering concrete samples to M&J or other facilities and other responsibilities as warranted.

Qualifications
- Experience with construction projects involving Highway Roadway Stormwater Building Waterway or Shoreline Improvement Construction projects is preferred.
- High School Diploma is required; Associates degree or higher in science construction or engineering is preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel required.
- NICET certification is a plus.
- Reliable transportation and a valid NYS Drivers License is required.
- ACI Certification is a plus.
- OSHA 10 Hours is a plus.
