Structural Analysis Engineer (Structural Analysis)

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads development integration and documentation of structural fatigue and fracture requirements.
  • Verifies structural integrity by using and developing analytical methods finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment characteristics and performance.
  • Leads development of test plans and configurations supports test and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
  • Defines and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied.
  • Supports inservice products by leading investigations into failures and analyzing improvements.
  • Develops analytical processes/tools to improve effectiveness quality and efficiency of the development effort.
  • Works under minimal direction.

This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment.

  • An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance PostStart is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology) chemistry physics mathematics data science or computer science.
  • 9 years of workrelated experience with a Bachelors OR 7 years workrelated experience with a Masters OR 4 years of workrelated experience with a PhD
  • 4 years of workrelated experience performing structural fatigue and fracture analysis
  • Experience in growth analysis
  • Experience coaching mentoring and leading early career engineers

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Knowledge and experience with fixed wing military aircraft platforms
  • Knowledge of Aircraft Structural Integrity Program and its requirements
  • Experience with structural analysis software such as PATRAN/NASTRAN StressCheck and Lifeworks
  • Ability to understand and write engineering reports based on analysis results test findings and maintenance reports
  • Experience with Spectrum Generation
  • Experience with FullScale Fatigue Testing and/or other structural and material testing plans
  • Strong oral and written communications skills

Typical Education/Experience:

Level 4: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD4 years related work experience Master7 years related work experience). In the USA ABET accreditation is the preferred although not required accreditation standard.
