Mercy University invites nominations and applications for a 9month or 12month Visiting faculty position for the Family Nurse Practitioner Program at our Westchester campus (Dobbs Ferry NY). This is an opportunity to join an engaged team of professional and dedicated colleagues in a CCNEaccredited program that offers undergraduate and graduate degrees. Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
This position requires the ability teach in a variety of courses with a particular need in advanced pathophysiology advanced pharmacology advanced health assessment and primary care courses. The graduate programs are taught online (experience preferred) and in person at the Dobbs Ferry Campus. Candidates should have a clinical practice (preferred). Responsibilities include teaching with an emphasis on high impact teaching practices inclusive pedagogy and active learning.Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience:
- Teaching experience minimum two years
- Unencumbered NYS License
- Experience teaching in an online format
- Experience in clinical practice for FNP formation
- Experience working with diverse student populations
- Doctoral degree (PhD DNP EdD DSci) is required with national certification in a NP specialty (family adult or pediatrics)
