Job Description
Minnehaha Academy is a Christian school and a ministry of the Northwest Conference of the Evangelical Covenant Church of America.
Our mission is to provide a high quality education integrating Christian faith and learning.
Minnehaha Academys Summer Programs is seeking an Art Instructor to prepare and teach art classes for PreK through 8thgrade students at our 4200 West River Parkway location for the eight weeks of camp.
Camp Dates: June 9 August 1 2025
(Please note: There will be no camp on June 19 and July 4.
Hours: 8:00 AM 12:00 PM Monday through Thursday.
Salary Range: $ 20.00 $22.00 per hour.
Qualifications and Position Details:
- Art experience is preferred (teaching experience is a plus).
- A minimum of two years of experience working with children in a church school or camp setting is preferred.
- Ability to plan and implement ageappropriate activities.
- A passion for working and engaging with children.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with children parents and staff.
- Ability to coordinate with the Summer Programs Director regarding the ordering of classroom supplies.
- Supportive of Minnehaha Academys mission.
- CPR/First Aid Certification is a plus.
- This position can serve as an internship opportunity.
