IT Procurement Analyst

What youll do:

IT Business Operations is in need of someone that has experience in IT governance IT risk management IT finance and IT vendor management with a primary focus on IT procurement. This IT Procurement Professional will focus on establishing and enhancing the strategic sourcing process within IT for suppliersvendors and related products and services but will also focus on the integration of governance and risk management and finance into procurement. The role will be responsible for creating an IT focused sourcing methodology and be directly responsible for facilitating Requests for Information (RFI) Requests for Proposal (RFP) and Requests for Quote (RFQ) along with designing the appropriate procedures. The position will interface with the company Vendor Management team during onboarding and risk assessment services. You will analyze spend categories via financial results collaborate with IT partners in developing make vs. buy strategies facilitate large spend highly visible RFP events redline business price and service level contract terms and host supplier business reviews for mission critical IT vendors. As a new function reporting directly to the Director of IT Business Operations you will help architect a repeatable and scalable procurement and category sourcing function for IT.
  • Execute Sourcing Events and Supplier Selection: Primarily lead RFP sourcing events in collaboration with IT or joint IT/Business sponsors. Develop and bring best practices into the RFP process. Host RFP events such as serviceproduct demonstrations questionanswer sessions elimination round conversations and contract award scenarios. Leverage RFI to learn new market offerings and capabilities. Support project budgetary assumptions through RFQ.
  • Optimize Cost and Develop Saving Strategies: Working with the Director of IT Business Operations and Financial Planning lead and own the blueprint for a valueadd savings methodology impacting the Banks operating and capital expenses. Create favorability within IT budgets and define a process to measure and track savings value inclusive of hard P&L savings cost avoidance savings wrap and other valueadds.
  • Lead Supplier Contract Negotiations: Facilitate contract review and negotiation between the Supplier Business Sponsors and Legal. Redline general business terms for SLA performance pricing discounts risk of loss and payment. Develop incentivebased rebate programs. Act as a counterpoint to the supplier account team and encourage or remediate suppliers through periodic business review forums. Create a scalable rate card strategy with all laborbased IT vendors and begin executing rate cards.
  • Partner with IT Sponsors: Assist IT supplier sponsors. Provide advisory services around selection and negotiation strategies. Provide spend intelligence and optimization opportunities within a subset of suppliers or categories of spend. Help IT define periodic business review objectives and performance scorecards to guide such business reviews.
  • Partner with Supportive Stakeholders: Act as a primary liaison within IT to Supplier Account Teams VMS Risk Assessment Project Management Legal and Finance. Assist in budgetary costing for proposed business cases.
  • Be an Individual Leader: Mentor educate and share best practice approaches with other levels on the team. Be comfortable in a highly visible role and a proponent of challenge or change.
  • Use deep understanding of Microsoft Office tools Diagramming Software (e.g. Lucid Visio etc. and/or other appropriate technical tools within a specific domain or functional area on the processes data analysis and IT governance.
  • Leverage Risk Management experience from a large financial institution subject to heightened standards specifically in risk compliance or corporate governance.

What youll need:

  • 7 years direct experience in a strategic sourcing or procurement role is a must.
  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Business or Finance.
  • Must have significant experience with facilitating sourcing events that exceed $1M of addressable indirect spend in general areas such as contingent labor staffing agency and IT category planning in hardware software network managed development services strongly desired.
  • Subject Matter Expert in Technology or Cloudbased SaaS/IaaS/PaaS a plus. Prefer experience in Volume Licensing Enterprise Agreements AWSAzure IBM Passport Oracle or managed IT service operations in application development or help desk breakfix.
  • Must be comfortable working with contract terms and Legal personnel during redline negotiations.
  • Subject Matter Expert in Technology or Cloudbased SaaS/IaaS/PaaS a plus. Prefer experience in Volume Licensing Enterprise Agreements AWSAzure IBM Passport Oracle or managed IT service operations in application development or help desk breakfix.
  • Must be comfortable working with contract terms and Legal personnel during redline negotiations.
  • Proven track record of establishing a proactive constructive dialogue and partnering with professionals internally and externally. Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with internal staff and external customers.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary internal and external customer service.
  • Foster teamwork through a positive attitude and approach.
  • Advanced working in Microsoft Office & relevant Diagramming Software (e.g. Lucid Visio etc. as well as technical aptitude & experience within a specific domain.
  • Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.
