Description
- Assist in the inspection maintenance and repair of machinery equipment and facilities under the supervision of a Senior Maintenance Technician including:
- Perform preventive maintenance functions such as cleaning lubricating and adjusting equipment.
- Install start up and shut down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures and in line with OSHA requirements.
- Maintain housekeeping of work area and equipment
- Read and interpret equipment manuals diagrams sketches engineering specifications and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Learn to read and understand technical manuals blueprints and schematics.
- Participate in classroom instruction and onthejob training to gain the skills and knowledge necessary to become a fully qualified maintenance technician or engineer.
- Keep a record of all maintenance work performed and report any issues or problems to the supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned which may include
- Machine pumping cleaning oiling
- Welding and fabrication
- Operation of drill press lathe and mill for equipment repairs
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Enrollment or ability to enroll within 1 year of hire and active participation in a accredited apprentice program.
- Must be a collaborative team player willing to take ownership of decisions and be a resultsoriented selfstarter.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Must have strong troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Valid drivers license for forklift operation.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds independently.
- Must be able to stand/walk for a minimum of 8 hours.
- Must be able to work effectively in all environments.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and coordinate several projects simultaneously.
- Ability to analyze problems identify root causes and provide efficient solutions.
