Job Description
The Halifax School Department is seeking a Principal to lead Halifax Elementary School.
Candidates should have demonstrated skill and competence as:
- an instructional leader.
- an effective communicator.
- a champion committed to excellence for all students.
A successful individual will:
- continue to maintain an effective learning climate in the school.
- have knowledge and experience utilizing data driven decision making in curriculum instruction and assessment.
- assist in the preparation and implementation of the school budget.
- build strong relationships with staff students parents and the community.
- supervise and evaluate buildingbased employees.
- recruit hire train and support all staff.
Candidates must have a Massachusetts license as a Principal (PreK8 at least 3 years of successful teaching experience and a Masters degree.
Candidates with experience as an administrator are highly preferred.
