Minimum Education
Required: High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum Work Experience
X Preferred Previous healthcare experience particularly in telemetry.
Required Skills
X Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (may be obtained week of orientation)
X Completion of hospital based Telemetry course (assigned week of orientation)

Under the supervision of an RN performs telemetry monitoring. Provides receptionist and clerical duties to support the coordination of services on the unit.
- Performs continual surveillance of multiple monitors.
- Identifies significant arrhythmias and/or signs of patient distress and intervenes appropriately. Identifies and corrects for artifacts.
- Reports abnormal assessment and telemetry findings or changes in patient physical mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
- Performs a variety of administrative duties to support efficient operations. Prepares and maintains medical records to include chart forms necessary for admissions transfers and discharges.
