Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts within the construction industry
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional customer service
- Assess clients insurance needs provide risk management advice and recommend appropriate coverage options
- Prepare and present insurance proposals negotiate terms and finalize policy placements
- Collaborate with underwriters and carriers to obtain quotes and bind coverage for clients
- Stay informed about industry trends regulatory changes and new insurance products to provide expert guidance to clients
- Work closely with the sales team to identify crossselling and upselling opportunities within the existing client base
- Ensure all client files and documentation are accurate up to date and in compliance with company standards and legal requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business Finance or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 5 years of experience in commercial insurance account management with a focus on construction or contracting clients
- Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products coverages and underwriting processes
- Proven track record of building and maintaining client relationships and achieving retention and growth targets
- Excellent communication negotiation and presentation skills
- Proficiency in insurance agency management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Insurance designations such as CIC CRM or CPCU are preferred
- A valid insurance license in the state of employment is required
