The State Correctional Institution at Phoenix within the Department of Corrections (DOC) is on the lookout for an enthusiastic and driven individual to join our team as a Psychological Services Associate within our esteemed Psychology Department. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the mental health and wellbeing of our correctional population while working alongside a dedicated team of professionals committed to providing essential psychological support and services.
As a Psychological Services Associates (PSA) within SCI Phoenix you will provide a variety of professional services to ensure the mental health and general emotional needs of the population served are addressed efficiently and effectively. You will assist the Licensed Psychologist Manager in planning and organizing outpatient mental health and psychological services for SCI Phoenix including the development and promulgation of patients Individual Recovery Plans (i.e. treatment plans). You may also administer psychological tests intelligence tests mental status examinations and prepare psychological assessments as necessary under the supervision of a Licensed Psychologist Manager.
Within this role you will facilitate both individual and group treatment for those diagnosed with mental illnesses individuals convicted of sex offenses individuals dually diagnosed and general population inmates as needed for crisis related services. Group and individual sessions may include topics such as resocialization prison adjustment offense specific behaviors treatment plan goals anger management skills sleep hygiene practices and more.
