ABOUT THE POSITION

Springfield Public Schools seeks outstanding candidates for the position of Head Volleyball Coach at Springfield High School for theseason. This person is responsible for promoting the philosophy and objectives of the OSAA adherence to all department policies and procedures as well as the rules and regulations ofSpringfield High School Springfield School District and the OSAA. TheHead Coach is expected to conduct him/herself in a loyal honest responsible ethical and professional manner at all times.

JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

• Head coaching experience at high school level volleyball preferred;
• Volleyball knowledge and playing experience;
• Experience working with high school students;
• Effective communication skills;
• Ability to work within school district guidelines and budget;
• ASEP and First Aid Certified;
• Availability for daily practices and matches;
• Ability to be District Van Certified;
• Fundraising knowledge and/or capabilities;
• Understanding of OSAA rules and regulations;
• Good organizational skills;
• Ability to work with individuals and large groups staff students parents and booster clubs;
• Ability and commitment to practice cultural competency and demonstrate respect for diversity.
