CNC Setup Machinist
Manufacturing West Valley Utah
Shift: Day Shift MonThu 5am3:30pm (OT as necessary)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Setup Machinist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have handson experience setting up and operating CNC machines performing first article processes using various measuring tools & equipment troubleshooting issues ensuring the production of highquality parts and maintaining machines. If you are detailoriented technically skilled and passionate about precision machining this position is for you!
Reports to: Production Manager
Primary Responsibilities/Duties:
Set up and operate CNC machines (mills lathes etc. to produce parts according to specifications and blueprints.
Read and interpret technical drawings blueprints and work instructions.
Perform machine setups including selecting and installing tooling fixtures and workpieces.
Adjust machine settings to ensure optimal performance and part accuracy.
Perform first article inspections and ensure parts meet quality standards using measuring tools (calipers micrometers gauges etc..
Troubleshoot and resolve machine issues program errors or production inconsistencies.
Collaborate with the programming team to improve machining processes and reduce cycle times.
Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and ensure equipment is in excellent working condition.
Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a CNC Setup Machinist or in a similar role.
Proficiency with Gcode and Mcode programming adjustments.
Strong understanding of machining principles and cutting tool applications.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints technical drawings and GD&T symbols.
Experience using precision measuring tools and performing quality checks.
Strong troubleshooting and problemsolving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Maintain a positive and professional attitude
Work overtime as needed
