MRI Tech - PRN

The MRI Technician is responsible for operating magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment to produce crosssectional images of patients bodies for diagnostic purposes. This includes but is not limited to interviewing patients to explain MRI procedures and ensure their safety; positioning patient on exam table and set up the receivers; and entering data regarding patient history anatomical area to be scanned orientation specified and position of entry into aperture of MRI equipment. A key role of the MRI Tech is to alleviate patient concerns or fears by answering questions offering preferred music and providing support during test if needed.

We are searching for a candidate who:

• possesses strong knowledge of safety and security procedures with the ability to identify and report potentially unsafe conditions equipment and materials
• has strong communication skills both oral and written with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with patients visitors physicians and coworkers in both positive and negative situations
• can respond promptly to patient needs and requests for service and assistance
• will provide excellent customer service while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and discretion
• The candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel Outlook Word) various software programs and internet applications.

Requirements:

• Minimum Associates Degree in Radiology
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART) Certification

Preferred:

• MR Advanced certification through ARRT
