Job Description
The Systems Infrastructure Team
As a business we have travelled from using Linux on a few machines we built ourselves to dozens of racks with over 20000 CPU cores 2000 GPUs 500TB of RAM and 10PB of storage used for research simulation and testing all coordinated by our own grid scheduling system. Our software is developed in C and Python and a distributed system enables access to a large amount of financial data. We are continuously working on scaling our compute resources software environment data feeds and the number of places we have a trading presence. The Systems team manages all of our infrastructure (current and future) from our high performance grid computing through to your trusty desktop PC. Historically the Systems team has been small and generalist in nature however as we have grown we have started to establish clearer areas including Systems Operations Systems Engineering Information Security and Network Engineering. This allows us to position for the future; enabling the team to scale as their work scales and empowering them to consider what activities are needed to achieve our vision to build the Ultimate Automated Trading System. The team works closely together getting involved in multiple projects and taking ownership of all aspects of the Teams work.
