Job Description

Scientific Adventures for Girls (SAfG) is seeking an energetic parttime Teaching Assistant to engage elementaryaged girls and support Head Teachers in teaching handson STEM activities inperson at public schools in the East Bay (Berkeley Emeryville Oakland Richmond). A teaching credential is not required.

If youre passionate about helping shape our next generation of scientists wed love to have you! All classes are fun handson and designed to inspire girls to love STEM!

SALARY: $23.00 / hour

LOGISTICS:

The STEM Teaching Assistant will report directly to the Program Manager. For more of an understanding about our after school program checkout what our classes look like: SAfG in Action!

Spanish is a plus but not mandatory.

ABOUT US:

SAfG serves girls in Transitional Kindergarten through 6th grades. Our mission is to remove systemic barriers to all girls participation in STEM starting in kindergarten by introducing sparking and building their interest through handson learning. Our programs increase their positive attitudes toward STEM and equip them with 21st century skills. In schools throughout the East Bay SAfG provides handson high quality afterschool STEM programming while girls are young so theyll stay engaged in STEM for the long term.
