To improve the overall functioning and well being of members with a variety of diagnoses especially neuromusculoskeletol injuries and diseases. Services are provided in a gym setting and in a therapeutic pool.
Responsibilities:
1. Designs and implements Exercise Programs for individuals to improve overall functioning & well being.
2. Schedules members.
3. Assists Program Coordinator in the designing and implementing of new programs.
4. Performs participates in peer review/PI.
5. Assists with weekly statistical collection. Notifies Program Coordinator regarding trends of productivity that may adversely affect targets.
6. Participates in continuing education.
7. Assists Program Coordinator in hiring and training new staff.
8. May assist in marketing and promoting exercise programs to local physicians & the community.
9. Makes recommendations for new department equipment supplies and materials. Can provide literature describing equipment benefit & cost.
10. May lead staff meetings in absence of Coordinator with prior assistance regarding agenda.
11. Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education: BACHELORS LVL DGRE
Other Information:
Required:
Minimum Experience: one year
Desired: CPR certification. ACSM certification. Masters Degree preferred.
Working Conditions:
Manual: Some manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity
Occupational: Some occupational risk
Physical Effort: Very Heavy effort. May exert up to 50 lbs. force
Physical Environment: Some exposure to dirt odors noise human waste etc.
