Job Summary
KBR is seeking an Associate Electrical Engineer to join our team at our Las Cruces NM office. The selected candidate will operate under the direct supervision of a senior engineer and support projects around groundbased mobile satellite communication systems antenna manufacturing and radio frequency engineering. The Associate Electrical Engineer will research develop plan design and integrate electrical products and systems. Applies principles and techniques of electrical engineering to complete engineering projects and solve engineering problems in all phases of design development integration/implementation and analysis testing and participating in design reviews and evaluations.
Roles and Responsibilities
Research design modify develop and evaluate systems products components and applications by applying fundamental electrical engineering principles
Apply electrical engineering principles in areas of RF power AC/DC circuit communications and software
Validate vendor equipment performance and capabilities by developing testing methods performing tests and documenting test results
Conduct and evaluate final system performance through of test procedures and data analysis
Troubleshoot and resolve systems for satellite/radio frequency communications and power distribution
Will lead projects to completion by developing schedules to ensure technical performance is met and within cost
May perform site surveys and field installations
Communicate and collaborate with other engineering disciplines manufacturing personnel management vendors customers and subcontractors.
Prepare engineering documentation i.e. drawings project specifications procedures test data and results
Abide by company policies procedures and AS9100 quality policy
Must hold a valid drivers license and have the ability to obtain a US Top Secret security clearance
Basic Qualifications
Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university
Must be a U.S. citizen
02 years experience troubleshooting electrical systems RF design or power systems design
Ability to obtain a TopSecret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
Basic knowledge of RF systems
Basic knowledge working with mobile satellite communications systems
Ability to draft and read electrical drawings schematics or wiring diagrams
Ability to work independently and in a cross functional team
Experience drafting in AutoCad Electrical
Experience working in a manufacturing environment
