About the role:
Were looking for a Data Engineer to join our team. This role will support complex technical work involving largescale data systems particularly those handling highvolume data structured in cubes and spanning terabytes. You will work on data management ingestion pipelines and reporting solutions contributing to critical cloud migration efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Management & Transformation: Work with diverse data systems ensuring proper ingestion transformation and optimization.
- Power BI & SQL Expertise: Strong experience in Power BI SQL DAX and SSIS to support data ingestion and reporting.
- Ingestion Pipelines: Develop and maintain ingestion pipelines from various source systems into data marts and reporting platforms.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize queries and ensure efficient data processing.
- Testing & CI/CD: Conduct thorough testing and contribute to CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins to ensure seamless ingestion.
- Reporting & Dashboard Development: Participate in Power BI report development to support business insights.
- Cloud Migration: Assist in migrating legacy onpremise systems to Snowflake (cloud).
Project Details:
- Location: 1 day per week in Ballarat.
- Duration: Longterm project
About you:
To be successful in this role youll need:
- Strong technical expertise in Power BI SQL DAX and SSIS.
- Experience with largescale data systems and cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of cloud migration particularly to Snowflake.
- Ability to develop and maintain ingestion pipelines and optimize data performance.
Youll be at an advantage if you also have:
- Experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines.
- A background in working with highvolume data (terabytes).
- Previous involvement in cloud data migration projects.
