Job Duties
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Virginia Military Institute (VMI) seeks applications for a fulltime tenuretrack faculty member. Preference is at the assistant professor level but qualified applicants at the associate professor level will be considered. In order to be considered for this position a candidate must have a doctoral degree in electrical engineering or related discipline and must have a strong dedication to undergraduate education. The department is seeking a candidate to teach existing courses in fundamental areas of electrical engineering and to create upperdivision electives of relevance to the students and the profession. The department will consider all qualified candidates; however preference will be given to candidates who can enhance the departmental electrical engineering capabilities in areas such as but not limited to highfrequency engineering and power engineering.
The appointment will begin August 1 2025.
