Job Description
Job Description:
- System Monitoring & Optimization: Monitor performance analyze data and address underperformance.
- Maintenance: Perform inspections maintenance and component replacements.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain records document repairs and update management on system status.
- Support & Assistance: Provide client troubleshooting support address concerns and train on system operations.
- Emergency Response: Handle breakdowns and perform onsite corrective actions
- Understanding of photovoltaic (PV) system components
- Proficiency in electrical circuits grounding power distribution and wiring regulations
- An understanding of transformers switchgear protection relays and grid interconnections will be advantageous.
- Compliance with South African electrical installation regulations
- Travel to remote sites
- Must know the hazards involved and the safety precautions to be practiced in the operation and maintenance of solar power plant equipment and machinery
- Good at planning site visits making sure all equipment/ tools/ etc. are available on site
- Good data entry/computer skills and report writing
- Minimum of 35 years of solar and BESS experience
- Minimum Electrical Trade Test Certificate 3 phase)
- A valid wiremans license issued by the Department of Labour (DoL) in South Africa will be advantageous.
- Drivers License
Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered
