Job Description

Superior Completion Services is currently seeking a Tool Assembler 2for our office in Houston TX.

Join our dynamic team at Superior Energy Services Completion Services where youll play a handson role in the precision assembly and maintenance of cuttingedge service tools. Youll be at the forefront of ensuring our equipment including flow control valves is assembled to the highest standards. Your attention to detail will help drive safety quality and productivity in our highperformance environment. Additionally youll help maintain a clean organized teardown area setting the stage for efficiency and excellence. As an ambassador of Superior Energy Services Completion Services youll exemplify professionalism and pride in everything you do.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Comply with all company Safety and Security policies including use of Personal Protective Equipment Job Safety Analysis and Take 5 Safety initiatives.
  • Report injuries accidents near misses or unsafe conditions to a Manager or Supervisor immediately.
  • Assembly and Disassembly of equipment in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Follow all Quality Procedures for the Preservation Packaging and Storage of Products
  • Adhere to oncall/offcall work schedule being available on short notice around the clock and oncall week.
  • Carry out daily activities with the Supervisor and/or Manager to ensure the quality and quantity of work meet performance expectations as set by Management
  • Participate in training and crosstraining within other areas to utilize labor efficiently and to prevent downtime or disruption to operations.
  • Ensure that work areas are maintained in a neat and orderly manner at all times.
  • Ensure that service tool components are cleaned oil dipped soft assembled and properly staged.
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of tool baskets.
  • Perform pressure testing on various tools per SOPs.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry with Tool Assembly experience.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Proficient in the operation of forklift H.P. test pump hydraulic press
  • Knowledge of machines and tools including their designs uses repair and maintenance
  • Knowledge of relevant equipment policies procedures and strategies to promote safe operations
  • Basic math skills
  • Computer skills needed for data entry and reporting
  • Watching gauges dials or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly
  • Understanding written statements in workrelated documents
  • Identifying problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and recommend solutions
  • Conducting tests and inspections of products services or processes to evaluate quality or performance

BEHAVIORAL ABILITIES

  • Current health safety & environmental (HSE) training as per division training matrix (Includes both regulatory and SES required courses)
  • Applicable PPE required to complete assigned tasks
  • Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions conclusions or approaches to problems
  • Ability to operate test pump and data acquisition
  • Ability to recognize and solve problems of a complex nature
  • Able to create innovative approaches to address challenging opportunities
  • Accurately complete/maintain necessary reports/records in a timely and legible manner according to applicable procedures and/or work order
  • Collect research & analyze data
  • Commit to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals
  • Communicate effectively both written and verbally at all levels within the organization
  • Contribute to building a positive team spirit through contributions in team settings working groups and committees
  • Deal with frequent changes delays or unexpected events
  • Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers employees clients customers and the general public
  • Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule form
  • Listen and provide feedback to solve practical problems
  • Make independent decisions but understand when to escalate issues
  • Provide direction support and assistance to other department personnel.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Sitting for extended period of time without being able to leave the work area
  • Standing for extended periods of time without being able to leave the work area
  • Climbing ladders scaffolding work in overhead areas etc.
  • Walking considerable distances please indicate
  • Lifting Minimaullay and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
  • Pulling and/or pushing on a frequent basis
  • Carrying regularly carries objects in his/her arms or on the shoulder(s)
  • Grasping regularly picks up objects with fingers
  • Reaching regularly required to use hands and arms to reach objects
  • Stooping/Crouching regularly required to bend forward by bending at the waist or by bending legs and spine
  • Speaking requires expressing ideas through the spoken word
  • Listening requires the perception of speech or the nature of sounds in the air
