Speech Language Pathologist
DEPARTMENT: Student Support Services JOB STATUS: Full Time
POSITIONS SUPERVISED: N/A REPORTS TO: Director of Special Education & Principal
GRADE/LEVEL: N/A F.L.S.A: Exempt
WORK SCHEDULE: 190 contracted days
POSITION SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Special Education Supervisor and the principal the SpeechLanguage Pathologist provides
prevention assessment and remediation services for students who exhibit difficulties in the areas of language speech voice and fluency. These services are designed to help children meet their educational goals.

EDUCATION AND LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of Masters Degree with an accredited educational institution in speechlanguage therapy. Other requirements per job description.
EXPERIENCE
One year of successful experience is required preferably with children and adolescents. Other requirements per job

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Handeye and mindeye coordination. Constant hearing; intermittent speaking standing walking and writing. Frequent carrying keyboarding and other repetitive movements. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 10 pounds as needed to move objects often.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Skills in human relations leadership and conflict management. Knowledgeable of teaching techniques that meet the diverse needs of students. Demonstrated skills in the use of technology to enhance student learning.
