Job Description
Asbury Gardens located in North Aurora IL is seeking an enthusiastic Activity Aide to join our team. This position offers a competitive compensation of $16 per hour.
Shift is 7am 7pm on Tuesdays & Fridays and every other weekend AND 8am12pm & 1pm5pm alternately every month on Thursdays.
Responsibilities:
- Assists Director of Activities in planning and implementing a wellrounded activity program.
- Leads programs and encourages resident participation.
- Assists with special events theme days and facility celebrations.
- Familiarity with crafts games and the interests of the resident population.
- Ability to be creative to develop new program ideas and to work with a minimum of supervision.
- Works in a cooperative manner with other departments and volunteers.
- Shares responsibility of keeping equipment and storage areas in proper condition.
- Communicate in a positive and cooperative manner with all staff management residents and family members and outside entities consistent with the policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Activity Director or Administrator
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents and colleagues.
- Compassionate and patient when working with residents.
- Must possess as a minimum a high school diploma or its equivalent.
