Job Location:

  • The Loft at Columbia High School inMaplewood NJ

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide culturally competent traumainformed therapeutic services to students and families.
  • Offer crisis intervention and collaborate with school staff and other providers.
  • Participate in community meetings team meetings and quality improvement committees.
  • Manage counseling referrals provide individual and evidence based group therapy and plan support groups and prevention programming.
  • Utilize the Columbia Suicide Severity Rating Scale for screening.
  • Supervise afterschool activities and support summer programs.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services in electronic medical records.
  • Demonstrate a Team mentality bytaking a multidisciplinary approach to providing quality services to adolescent students.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Masters in Social Work Professional Counseling or equivalent field.
  • Certification: LAC/LSW LPC/LCSW or state licensure specific to degree.
  • Experience: Providing mental health services in diverse urban settings. Preferred experience with adolescents in a high school environment.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to perform tasks requiring frequent standing bending and lifting up to or in excess of 50 pounds.
